Before the league's suspension, Bandari were unbeaten since February. Currently, the side sits in fifth place, just nine points off the top
Bandari FC captain Bernard Odhiambo is confident his team can keep churning out splendid displays and results should the 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign resume.
By the time, President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a directive to suspend sporting activities among a raft of other measures in order to curb the rise of covid-19 cases in the country, the coastal based side were enjoying an upturn in form.

Since Rwandese head coach Andrew Cassa Mbungo took over back in January, the team has only lost one league match under his ten game watch, a 3-1 home loss to defending champions Gor Mahia.
The club captain, in an interview on the club’s social media portal, has backed the team to continue producing those kind of results should the suspension be lifted since all the players have been keen to follow instructions from the head coach besides sticking to their personal training programs.
“We talk as players through WhatsApp. All the players are doing fine and are following instructions from the coach. If the league resumes any day, we are ready,” the club posted.

Odhiambo has been a vital cog in the defensive partnership that has managed to keep seven clean sheets in the league this season. Since their defeat at Gor, the Dockers have enjoyed an unbeaten run since February. In the six league matches played, Bandari won four and drew two, a period that saw the head coach and striker William Wadri clinch the league’s coach of the month and player of the month award for March respectively.
In the current suspended 2020/2021 season, Bandari sit in fifth place on the log on 27 points after playing sixteen games, just nine points adrift log leading Tusker FC.
