United's way of motivating Rangnick - 11,5 million USD if he brings Haaland to the Theater of Dreams

European giants are getting ready for next year. It is when the Erling Haaland's exit clause will come into play, so everyone who is interested, and practically all big European clubs are in line for his signature, will be able to bring the Norwegian striker for a cheaper price - 85 million USD.

However, not everyone is in the same negotiating position. It could be said that Manchester United have an ace up their sleeve - Ralf Rangnick. Yesterday, the prominent journalist of German Bild, Christian Falk, presented information that the German expert has "half of the Bundesliga" on his wishlist and that he has already contacted Chelsea's Timo Werner. Additionally, he brings some bombastic news - United have prepared 11.5 million USD reward for Rangnick just to bring Haaland to Old Trafford. It comes as a bonus to the already agreed 8.5 million USD for seven months in which he will perform the role of the interim manager.

So the 63-year-old German surely has a motive. And he has his his ways and connections. Allegedly, almost two years ago, Rangnick played a big role in the Norwegian's transfer to RB Salzburg. He also holds great relations with Haaland's father Alf Inge and agent Mino Raiola, with whom he has already met on several occasions in the winter of 2019/20, when he tried to persuade the parties that Haaland should sign for RB Leipzig.

However, Erling then estimated that Dortmund would be the best environment for his development. And he was definitely right. Now Rangnick is on the same mission, only with more financial power in his corner. Other names on the list of potential signings include Christopher Nkunku, Timo Werner and Amadou Haidara.

Nkunku is in great shape, he is Leipzig's best player by far this season and currently the third top scorer in the Champions League with seven goals. Rangnick tried to bring him even earlier to the east of Germany, in the summer of 2018, just a year before he actually arrived in Leipzig. Werner was brought from Stuttgart and transformed it into a goal machine. In case Rangnick goes after the German striker for the second time, he will probably try and take advantage of the great relationship he has with Chelsea's manager Thomas Tuchel.
