Union and Stuttgart break Bundesliga record for goals scored

Union Berlin and Stuttgart played a spectacular first half — a half for the history books, as for the first time since the Bundesliga was founded in 1963, we saw eight goals in 45 minutes. In the end, the points were shared (4–4), with no goals in the second half, bringing peace and relief to the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei (Union officially secured survival), and frustration for Stuttgart, whose chances of returning to the Champions League are now only theoretical.
