The Soldiers lost 4-1 to the Brewers at the same ground last season

Ulinzi Stars midfielder John Kago has issued a rallying call to his teammates to leave everything on the field on Wednesday when they host Tusker FC at A.S.K Grounds on Wednesday for a rescheduled FKF Premier League match.

The Soldiers fell to Robert Matano's side 2-0 at Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday courtesy of two quickfire goals from substitutes Jackson Macharia and Shami Kibwana in a span of one minute.

Reflecting on the game in the capital, the influential midfielder noted that the team was dominant more so in the first half but crumbled after the two quick goals, promising a different encounter on Wednesday.

"We played well and dominated in the first half. We tried to push in the second half but they got their chances and scored. We were unable to recover from that though we tried to the final whistle. Being an away game, we were targeting at least a point but we will have to rectify that at home. It will not be easy when they come to Nakuru because we need the three points and I urge my teammates to give their all." Kago told the club's media.

The 31-year old player believes that Ulinzi Stars will overcome the bad patch in their campaign that has seen them drop the pecking order to 13th on the log having played 16 games.

Ulinzi Stars kicked off the campaign on a high and were among the leading pack in the earlier stages of the campaign but a series of bad results has seen them drop to the bottom half of the table.

"We know this is just a hiccup and very soon we will get ourselves out of the bad patch. We will continue pushing and I believe good results will stream in." He added.
