UEL: Super-sub Lamela sends Sevilla to their seventh Europa League showpiece

The Spaniards come from behind to beat Juventus 2-1 after the extra time to join Roma in the Budapest final

The only things certain in this life: death, taxes and Sevilla in the Europa League finals.

Even with their backs to the wall, the Spaniards always keep finding ways to survive and reach the UEL showdown. Their seventh in history this time!

Sevilla won all six so far, and now will be challenged by none other than legendary Jose Mourinho in his sixth European final, with the same 100% win percentage in those decisive games.

On Thursday night, they celebrated in front of all-red Ramon Sanchez Pisjuan stadium, topping Juventus 3-2 on aggregate. But what a rollercoaster that was!

After a bit sloppy first half on both sides, with Juventus missing a couple of promising chances, Dusan Vlahovic's smooth chip put the visitors in front, shocking the home crowd. At that particular moment, it seemed like Allegri's boys were controlling the outcome and that history was being made in front of our very eyes.

However, just like Vlahovic - who came on for Kean before scoring in the very next minute - Sevilla also had their own super-sub in the pocket. That was Eric Lamela.

The former Spurs player first assisted Suso for a breathtaking equalizer near the end, taking the game to extra time. And then, following another ex-Tottenham midfielder, Bryan Gil's, cross, Lamela nailed a perfect header for a complete comeback.

Rewriting history is something Sevilla simply don't care about. Now, they only need to explain that to Mou. Good luck with that, boys... See you on 31st of May in Budapest.
