Owino has been with Posta for the last two years and he will be out of contract at the end of August
Posta Rangers defender Kennedy Owino is hopeful of agreeing to a new deal at the club despite interest from other clubs in his services.
The former Western Stima and Gor Mahia central defender will be out of contract at the end of month and there has been reported interest from Tusker FC in his services.
The player however says that he's focused on the renewal talks with the Mailmen.
"I am in talks with Posta over an extension but we have not really reached any agreement at this point," he said.
Despite the fact that his contract runs down in three weeks' time the player remains calm.
"I am confident that there will be a way out soon and so I am more focused on preparing and being ready for the new season," he added.
Meanwhile the Mailmen have signed eight new players to beef up their squad ahead of the new season.
The new signings are; Michael Wanjala, a keeper from Tusker, Kevin Onyango a central defender from Wazito FC, Meshack Muyonga a midfielder from Mathare United , Peter Oudu a midfielder from Gor Mahia, Curtis Wekesa a winger from Mathare United, Ken Mutembei a striker from Naivas FC, Eric Gichimu a striker from Bidco United, and Felix Oluoch a striker Bandari FC
Coach Kamau is contented with his acquisitions so far but did not rule our more additions.
"We have signed well. We have brought in players that will add some quality into the squad and I am satisfied. If we can get one or two more players who we believe will make us better we will definitely bring them on board,"he added.
