Jackson Macharia has extended his contract at Tusker till the end of the 2024 season, the club officially announced on Monday.

The attacking midfielder was approaching expiry of his contract at the end of the season and Monday's statement ties him with the club that he signed for in 2016 for at least another year.

"We are delighted to announce that our midfielder Jackson Macharia has extended his contract at Ruaraka by a year," the club statement read.

Macharia's last appearance before Saturday was in February 8, when he came off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Gor Mahia at the Moi International Sports Centre-Kasarani.

Jackson Macharia has notably scored against Bandari FC and Kakamega Homeboyz this season.

The 28 year old was also named Tusker's player of the month in February 2021 after scoring three goals in wins over Wazito, Nzoia Sugar and Posta Rangers.

Tusker next plays Bandari in an FKFPL match on Wednesday.
