Eleven- time Kenyan champions Tusker are among the three top flight clubs salivating at Kakamega Homeboyz forward David Okoth.

The speedster has been a marvel this season finding the back of the net five times, consequently becoming the clubs leading scorer in the campaign.

The forward disclosed that the three cubs had approached him but had not made up his mind owing to the year remaining in his contract with Homeboyz and the task of firing the club to its objectives.

The three clubs have enquired of my availability but haven’t tabled any offer yet. I haven’t given the enquires a keen thought as I still have a year remaining in my contract. I also want to focus on aiding the team achieve its targets,” he said.

Okoth joined Homeboyz in 2013 after finishing his High School studies at Ambira Boys High School. He however ditched the club in 2017 for Nzoia Sugar only to return the following year.

Having procured his maiden Harambee Stars call up in 2019, Okoth says he is braced up for a return, precisely during the World Cup qualifiers.

When coach Migne called me in 2019, I believed that the door to the national team is always open for any player. I am working hard to catch the attention of the current technical bench for a consideration in the forthcoming assignments especially the World Cup qualifiers,” he disclosed.

Okoth in the meantime is focused to achieve his target of netting at least twelve goals this season.
