This new Tottenham is nice to watch - Spurs win at Bournemouth

Kane-less Spurs team won with goals from James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski
Long-time captain Harry Kane is gone, and Tottenham fans are sad, but the vast majority of them are not worried. And the reason is simple: the Spurs are playing good football, and they are winning. And their style of play is entertaining, too. Since he took over (with much grumbling from the stands), new boss Ange Postecoglou transformed the team, as his men are averaging 63% possession, 18 shots, 533 successful passes, 18 sequences of 10 or more passes, and 18 pressed sequences per game - all increases on their Premier League game averages under famous Italian Antonio Conte. And today, they continued to up their statistics and easily won in Bournemouth 2-0, courtesy of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski’s goals.
18 - James Maddison has been involved in 18 goals in his last 20 away Premier League appearances (9 goals, 9 assists), scoring one and assisting two in two away games for Spurs. Railcard. pic.twitter.com/PLJKlYnqCx

Son is still very slow in getting back to form, Richarlison is yet to score his second goal in all competition since the start of the year 2023 and even today’s scorer, Kuluševski got the first one since January, but the team is winning and is playing good, and that’s more than enough for the Spurs fans. After 2-0 against Manchester United, another score like that against Bournemouth today will surely give a huge morale boost for everyone at the club.
On the other hand, the Cherries will have to start worrying after the start of the season. One draw and two defeats are not good, and some will say that Liverpool and Tottenham are strong opponents, but former boss Gary O’Neil won against both clubs last season. The new American owner decided to bring in the Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, which is a huge risk. Cherries spent over 130 million this season, but many of them are injured, including important players like Ryan Frederics and Dango Ouattara. It's too much for a modest team like this.
The teams basically warmed up and got the feeling for the game, and it was already 1-0. In the 17th minute, Sarr weighted a wonderful through ball for Maddison, who just turned around and took a precise shot for the lead. With five shots on target, Tottenham were the better team, but those shots didn’t necessarily come from good opportunities. The hosts tried to do something in the second half, but didn’t come up with some clear chances. The game was over when Kulusevski scored the second goal in the 63th minute, after an assistant from Udogie.
