They claim that FECOFA sent nothing but false allegations to CAF regarding the mysterious case of Guelor Kanga and his identity
The Football Association of Gabon, after the accusations from Congo, sent its version of facts related to the case of Guelor Kanga, 30, to the African Football Confederation (CAF).
They presented evidence in its favour and, in the form of an official letter, explained the position in the case of the offensive midfielder who is accused of changing his own identity, date and place of birth. The Congolese association claims that his actual name is Kiaku-Kiaku Kianga, and that he is 35 years old at the moment.
"This short answer brought all the irrefutable and formal evidence about the sports career in clubs and the suitability of Guelor Kanga Kaku's players in the Gabonese national team, in accordance with the state's regulatory provisions and the Gabonese Civil Code, denying all false allegations, without evidence, of the Football Association of Congo (FECOFA) on alleged identity theft, forgery and fraud of Gabon for its player Guelor Kanga ", it is stated in the statement signed by the president of FEGAFOOT.
If the claims against Kanga/Kianga turn out to be true, Gabon would be eliminated from the African Cup of Nations to which they qualified, while Kanga would certainly face punishment.
"The Gabon Federation trusts the African Football Confederation and hopes for fair play, given that Gabon won a place in the African Cup of Nations fairly and on the field."
