That's how titles are won! Edin Dzeko hits a last-minute winner to complete Inter's comeback

Titles aren't won in glamorous derby games, but in those "ordinary" fixtures that everyone expects you to win. Inter made what could prove a crucial step on the road to another Scudetto as Edin Dzeko scored a 90th-minute winner to give his team a deserved 2-1 win over Venezia at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

It took some time for the Nerazzurri to get going after shockingly falling behind to a Thomas Henry opener. For a while, Simone Inzaghi's team looked shackled by inexplicable nerves, but as the match went on it was clear that the Serie A new boys will have a tough time surviving the onslaught.

Inter's equalizer just before halftime was well-timed indeed. Nicolo Barella was at the right place at the right time to tuck in a rebound after Luca Lezzerrini had palmed away a strong Ivan Perisic volley.

The chances came and went and Inter fans were starting to worry that their beloved team would maybe drop two points in the title race, but late impact from former Manchester City and Roma man Dzeko was just what the doctor ordered. Denzel Dumfries delivered an inviting cross that was steered majestically into the net by the Bosnian striker.

The man who was brought in as a cheap replacement for the departed Romelu Lukaku showed that even cheap replacements can score valuable goals and bring precious points.
