Coach Francis Barazais keen on reuning with the left-back at Kagera Sugar.

Nairobi City Stars left-back Bolton Omwenga could once again be on the move with Tanzanian side, Kagera Sugar interested in his services.

The dead-ball specialist joined the Kawangware based side in February after leaving another Tanzanian side, Biashara United over payment issues. He has been impressive for the side and his good run with the team earned him a recall to the national team, Harambee Stars, he was named in the provisional squad that will play Uganda and Rwanda in World Cup qualifiers.

Kagera Sugar coach Francis Baraza, who signed Bolton for Biashara United is once again keen on taking the left-back to Tanzania this time for the ambitious millers who are rebuilding after narrowly avoiding relegation last season.

When reached for a comment, the former Nzoia Sugar, Kariobangi Sharks, and KCB player admitted that indeed he has been approached. He added that he is open to a move should Kagera table a good offer.

“It is true they have approached me,” he told Mozzart Sport. “If they offer me a good deal then I will definitely move there,” he added.

In an earlier interview, coach Baraza revealed that he was keen on signing three players from the FKF Premier League, and with Bolton now among his targets, the number could go high.

"Of course there are players I want to get from the FKF Premier League but I will have to wait until the end of the season, we are currently in negotiations with their clubs. I am looking at three players, a center back, a midfielder, and a striker. Once the season comes to an end, things will flow faster,” Baraza told Mozzart Sport.

Should he depart, City Stars will once again be forced to look for another left-back as Omwenga’s competitor for the position is veteran Wesley Onguso who is at the sunset of his career.

Kagera also in talks with Wazito central defender Bernard Ochieng while Western Stima's Baron Oketch and Elvis Ronack look set to join Biashara United which is coached by former Gor Mahia assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo.
