Tammy Abraham makes two assists as Roma mark Mourinho's second Serie A debut with a victory

Jose Mourinho returned to Serie A in style! Cheered by home fans in Stadio Olimpico, AS Roma beat Fiorentina in an entertaining match in the Italian capital.

The Giallorossi didn't exactly dominate, but they've done enough to beat off Fiorentina's second-half surge that's seen Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic score to cancel out Henrikh Mkhitaryan's opening goal.

Jordan Veretout scored twice to break the visitors down and make it a successful start for The Special One on his new mission back in Italian football.

It was a nervous match that's seen a red card on either side, with Viola's goalkeeper sent off early on for a foul on Tammy Abraham when in a clear goalscoring chance.

Tammy was replaced late on and was treated with a standing ovation by the home fans. Even though he didn't score on his debut, he was involved in many good moves and helped his side significantly.

Call it honeymoon period, but it certainly looks like Mourinho has picked his reinforcements wisely. Advantage Roma!
