Tah clock is ticking for Bayern

The negotiations between the Bavarians and Leverkusen seem to have reached a dead end, given that the last contact regarding Tah's transfer was made four weeks ago

Jonathan Tah's move from Bayer to Bayern about a month ago looked like a done deal. However, as per Bild, the two clubs' representatives last talked about the defender's transfer only four weeks ago. The same source adds that Leverkusen are losing patience and that the clock is seriously ticking for the Bavarians.

Bayern are stalling the negotiations for two significant reasons. First, they would like to lower the price of 25-30 million euros Leverkusen demand. And second, they are waiting for the outcome of Matthijs de Ligt's eventual move to Manchester United. The German giants allegedly require around 40 million euros for the Dutchman - the amount more than enough to cover the costs of Tah's transfer.

The beginning of the new Bundesliga season is near - only 15 days from now. Moreover, for Xabi Alonso's boys, the season starts a week earlier, on August 17, when they face Stuttgart in the German DFL-Supercup. The Spanish strategist obviously wants to be clear on his vice-captain's status and whether he'll be available to play in the following period or not.

Moreover, Bild asserts that at BayArena, they are ready to keep the player if Bayern don't make a move next week at the latest, although it would mean Tah could leave next year for free, and that was not the club's usual move so far. The Bavarians got the first warning and will have to react quickly, or they could lose the defender they counted on seriously.
