The match between Huracan Las Heras and Ferro de General Pico in the fourth-tier was suspended 30 minutes into the second half due to a firearms clash in the stands

Sunday, bloody Sunday!

As the famous 'U2' song suggests, it was an awful end of the week in Argentine football.

What should be just an ordinary game in the fourth division was suspended half an hour into the second half when unidentified fans started shooting from the stands. According to Argentine media, Huracan Las Heras and Ferro de General Pico fans began to shoot at each other.

The visiting team manager Mauricio Romero was wounded after a gunshot hit him in the shoulder, and he had to be taken to the Carrillo Hospital.

All the players, referees, and technical staff of both clubs stormed off the pitch while police reacted promptly, but there have been no detainees so far. At the time of unprecedented war in the terraces, Huracan were leading 3-1.

With the shots in the background, Bruno Nasta, striker and scorer for Huracan Las Heras, stood in front of his wife and daughter, who are on the other side of the fence, covering them so that nothing happens to them.
