No mid-season break has been scheduled after Wednesday's matches as action continues on the weekend.
Women Premier League (WPL) title hopefuls Gaspo Women face Nakuru Queens next Wednesday for the first time in the top tier league as they look to maintain second place on the log.
The Kiambu-based outfit, have struggled for results in the last three matches, drawing twice before their weekend 2-3 win away to Bunyore.
However, tactician Tila Wangui maintains that finishing the first leg on a high is a priority for the side and they will give the Nakuru match their all.
"This is our first meeting with Nakuru but we are fully prepared to face them, aiming for a win. In the last three matches, we have missed some key players and that affected our performance. Two of said players will still be unavailable for the Nakuru encounter but we are confident of bagging maximum points," said Wangui.
However, the hosts are out to spoil the party for the visitors with coach Bernard Esitoko maintaining that they have to protect their home territory.
The sixth-placed Nakuru side are looking to deny Gaspo and bag maximum points but have their work cut out as they will be without two key players.
Melon Mulindi who has scored six goals for Nakuru and Nabangala Nyongesa who has seven so far are out, having been given arching orders in their last encounter against Kangemi Ladies.
"Despite the duo's absence, we have two players ready to step in and do the job. National under-20 forward Elizabeth Muteshi, a form three student and Millicent Atieno come in the forward positions.
