Okumu scored through a thumping header after just two minutes.

Kenya defenders Joseph Okumu and Clyde Senaji partnered at the heart of defence for their Malawian club Nyasa Big Bullets as they progressed to the final of the FDH Bank Cup with a 5-1 thumping of Dedza Dynamos on Sunday.

Senaji returned to the squad after missing the match against the Tigers through a knock. Okumu also got on the score sheet, scoring the first goal of the duel in the second minute of the game through a thumping header.

The other Nyasa goals were scored by Anthony Mfune, who grabbed a double, Hassan Kajoke, and MacFarlane Mgwira. Magola got the consolation for Dynamos.

In Sweden, Kenyan international Eric Ouma featured for 90 minutes as his Swedish club AIK picked up a 2-0 home win over Djurgarden on Sunday afternoon.

Heading into the game, AIK had won their last game out against Degerfors and were seeking a second on the bounce. The visitors, on the other hand, were out to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Varnamo.

In the end, AIK picked up maximum points courtesy of a brace from forward Ioannis Pittas. He scored the goals in the 52nd and 90th minutes. Next for Ouma and AIK is an away game against Hacken on Sunday, October 1st.

In Denmark, Daniel Anyembe played for 90 minutes as his club, Viborg, suffered a 2-0 defeat to Silkeborg IF. Alexander Lucas Lind scored both goals in the 33rd and 48th minutes. Next for Viborg is a home match against AGF on Sunday, September 1.
