The PSG forward is currently on loan in Leipzig and will stay there for longer
The young Dutchman Xavi Simmons (20) is one of the players who have improved the most in the last year. He confirmed that in these two and a half months of playing in the Bundesliga. Although this is his first time playing football at such a high level, Simmons has quickly become the leader of RB Leipzig, and with three goals and four assists, he is one of the most influential players in Germany. As they proved so many times in the last few years, the executives of this northern town have a fantastic ability to find excellent replacements whenever they sell their leaders of the team. This June, Christopher Nkunku left for Chelsea, and they found Simmons to take his place. And they want to keep him as long as they can.

When Paris Saint-Germain bought the youngster this summer from PSV Eindhoven for only 4,000,000 euros and returned him to their ranks (there was a return clause in the contract), many were surprised that he ended up at Leipzig on loan. The Parisians rushed to announce that there is no buyout clause in the agreement, however, Bild reports that Xavi Simmons could still extend his stay in Saxony. Allegedly, thanks to the good relations between the two clubs, i.e. the fact that PSG is currently overbooked on the right wing, where Simmons plays best, it has been agreed that the Dutchman will remain with the German club until June 2025. The only condition is that he has regular minutes, as before, i.e. that RB ensures participation in the Champions League next year as well.
The player has nothing against it, he gets along very well with coach Mark Rose, German football has suited him well and he is aware that he needs to climb gradually, step by step. Currently in Paris, Ousmane Dembele would be ahead of him, and there is also Bradley Barcola, recently acquired from Lyon. Simmons is in no rush, as he is cleverly spending his time in Leipzig for additional upgrading and gaining valuable experience. There is no doubt that great things are yet to be expected from this kid.
