Shabana picked their second win of the season after beating ten-men Nzoia Sugar FC.

Shabana FC started their post-Sam Okoth era with a 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar FC in a league match staged at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay on Saturday afternoon.

Okoth and keepers' trainer Collins Oduor were shown the door after the loss to Bandari last week and Oscar Kambona was tasked with leading the team in the interim.

Two minutes in, Nzoia were reduced to ten men after captain Harun Thomas was shown red for a dangerous foul on Dennis Ongeri, and from there it became a one-sided affair.

Vincent Nyabuto who has been in and out of Shabana's starting XI opened the scoring in the 13th minute. A minute after the restart Brian Michira got his first-ever top-flight goal to double Shabana’s lead. Victor Haki pulled one back in the 61st minute to make things a little uncomfortable for Shabana for the remainder of the game but they managed to win.

Tusker ended their woeful run at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos with a 3-1 win over Nairobi City Stars. First-half goals from Mike Oduor, David Odoyo, and Joseph Mwangi did the job for Robert Matano's men. Brian Bwire's second-half own goal proved to be a consolation for Simba was Nairobi.

At the Ulinzi Sport Complex, Brian Marita scored a late equalizer for Posta Rangers to deny his former side AFC Leopards maximum points. Kayci Odhiambo gave Leopards a second-minute lead before Marita earned the Mailmen a point with a late goal.

At the Police Sacco Grounds, KCB ended their two-game winless run with a 3-0 win over Bidco United. Francis Kahiro and Derrick Otanga and Herrit Mungai scored the goals for the Bernard Mwalala-led team.

At the Kasarani Annex, Derrick Nsimbabi's second half brace helped Bandari beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0.
