Sergio's pride of lions never gives up! Milan's late comeback 'steals' the trophy from Inter!

Riyadh saw the spectacle! In the Supercoppa Italiana grand final and the 241st Derby della Madonnina in all competitions, AC Milan managed to beat the city rivals Inter Milan 3-2, despite being 2-0 down until the 52nd minute!

When the Nerazzurri netted twice in the first half added time, and two minutes after the break over Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi, the Rossoneri seemed knocked down. However, Sergio Conceicao's brave approach and subbing in Rafael Leao turned the tables, as Milan levelled over Theo Hernandez's free-kick goal and an assist for Christian Pulisic's equalizer!

The crowd in the capital of Saudi Arabia was ready for the penalties, but Milan refused to play the roulette! Conceicao's men managed to score a priceless winner after a fantastic action, Leao's assist and Tammy Abraham's 93rd-minute strike!

Even though the Rossoneri were more concrete during the first half of the grand final, Inter were in front at the break. Initially, the crowd witnessed a festival of wasted chances, as Lautaro Martinez on one side and Tijjani Reijnders on the other severely lacked focus regarding finishing.

The Nerazzurri defender Federico Dimarco's long-distance effort, superbly stopped by Mike Maignan, was the most memorable moment in the opening 45 minutes until the added time when Lautaro finally found the net and gave his team the advantage at the break!

Only two minutes into the second half, Simone Inzaghi's men increased the gap! Stefan de Vrij sent a perfect pass from the back for Mehdi Taremi, who cold-bloodedly sent the ball home, making it 2-0! Sergio Conceicao was forced to react immediately, as he subbed in Rafael Leao for Alex Jimenez, turning the tables instantly!

The Portuguese injected the necessary energy into Milan's lineup, which netted only two minutes five minutes after conceding thanks to Theo Hernandez's impressive free-kick strike! That goal boosted the Rossoneri's confidence, and they started putting immense pressure on the rivals over Christian Pulisic and Alvaro Morata, but excellent Yann Sommer kept his team's advantage.

Inter's Carlos Augusto could have sealed the deal for Inter in the 72nd minute, but his header crashed against Maignan's post. However, Milan's dominance continued and brought them the equalizer in the 80th minute! Hernandez was the main figure once again, assisting for Pulisic, who scored from inside the box for 2-2 and set the final score, sending the clash to the penalty shoot-out!

And when everyone was thinking of penalties, Leao showed up with an amazing assist for Tammy Abraham who became the hero of red and black part of Milan, scoring the 93rd-minute winner and bringing the Rossoneri their eighth Supercoppa Italiana trophy!
