The squad made up of 25 players, selected from 32 outstanding talent bases across the country, will depart Nairobi on Saturday, September 6, for Huesca, where they will undergo elite training at the Base Aragonesa de Fútbol home to Spanish side S.D. Huesca.

Chapa Dimba has always been about opening doors of opportunity for Kenyan youth, and today we are proud to see that vision come alive in an even bigger way,” said Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom PLC.

Not only are these young players traveling to Spain to sharpen their skills, but many of their teammates have also earned call-ups to top national and international clubs.

To see players like Austin Odongo, Emily Moranga, and Khamis Nyale break into professional clubs while others take this next big step fills us with immense pride.”

While in Spain, the team will train under professional coaches, participate in masterclasses with seasoned players, and face off against Huesca’s Youth Academy in friendly matches.

The players will also experience European football culture firsthand by attending a Segunda División clash between S.D. Huesca and Málaga CF.

Visiting Spain and experiencing world-class football has always been a dream, and now it is becoming a reality,” said Swaumu Masungo, one of the selected All-Stars.

“I am determined to make the most of this opportunity, learn as much as possible, and use the lessons to grow my football career.”
