Seko Fofana is about to sign a permanent deal with Rennes. The Ivorian player is currently plying trade in the Saudi Pro League

Seko Fofana has completed a medical ahead of a move to Ligue 1 side Rennes, Le Parisien reports.

As reported by L'Equipe and Ouest-France last week, Rennes are ready to agree on a €20m deal to sign the Ivorian midfielder from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr.

The 2024 AFCON winner is currently on loan at fellow Saudi side Al-Ettifaq. However, as per reports, the 29-year-old has been keen to return to the Ligue 1, unlike many other players who are eager to move to Saudi Arabia.

Fofana was already in France last week, and Le Parisien now reports that he had undergone a medical in Paris before the move. That medical, which took place on Monday, has been successful.
