Mourinho demanded, and Fenerbahce management approved it: the Turkish side prepared €40 million and is ready to go for Marcus Rashford!

Several transfer earthquakes have happened in Europe during the ongoing June Transfer Window, but their epicentres seem to be in - Turkey.

Besiktas signed Tammy Abraham from AC Milan and Orkun Kokcu from Benfica. Galatasaray added Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane while desperately fighting for Victor Osimhen in exhausting negotiations with Napoli and their owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis. And Fenerbahce brought in Jhon Duran from Al-Nassr and Archie Brown from the Belgian Gent.

However, Jose Mourinho's side can cause the utmost "detonation" in European football if they manage to accomplish their latest goal - Marcus Rashford!

A clear evidence of Fenerbahce's seriousness is that they are reportedly ready to splash out €40 million and activate the Englishman's release clause at Man United. Barcelona have been mentioned as the forward's potential next destination, but the Catalans didn't make any official offer.

Apart from the money and the fact that the Turks are currently the only team willing to make a move for Rashford - who refused to stay at Aston Villa, while the Red Devils don't want him back - one of the key factors that could convince the 27-year-old to come to Istanbul is - Mourinho.

The Portuguese allegedly personally demanded the "offence" on Rashford, whom he had coached for two seasons and had been the first manager to give the then-youngster a proper chance at Old Trafford. Moreover, with 93 games played under Mourinho, Rashford is The Special One's most-used player during his United era.

At the same time, the Englishman's arrival could be a perfect response to Galatasaray's potential Osimhen signing and make Fenerbahce a worthy opponent in the race for the title, which Mou's team hasn't won since 2014.
