New Man Utd coach is eager to sign a German teenager Florian Wirtz in January. He's ready to pay £70 million for the 18-year-old

Manchester United will make a special effort to sign a German starlet Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Express, new United manager Ralf Ragnick wishes to bring the 18-year-old Wirtz, who's labelled for his outstanding skills as 'the next Kai Havertz'.

Apparently, the Red Devils will offer as much as £70 million for one of the most gifted players across the whole of Europe.

Rangnick is a huge admirer of the player, and the German feels Leverkusen could be persuaded to sell next month.

Despite being just 18, Wirtz has already been capped four times by Die Mannschaft.

Wirtz is a technically gifted left-sided playmaker with remarkable composure in front of goal. He has netted five times in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season and once held the record for bringing the youngest goalscorer in Germany's top-flight history.
