The National Super League (NSL) Playoff winners mean business in the off season transfer window.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) newbies Police FC have pulled two massive coups in the transfer window by roping in John Makwata and Musa Mohamed.

The Law Enforcers are galvanising their squad after a tough start to the league that saw them go down to Kakamega Homeboyz in the opening fixture of the season.

A source who sought anonymity disclosed to Mozzart Sport that both deals are in the final stages with the players training with the club for a number of days now.

“Makwata has trained with the team for two days now and an agreement is imminent. Musa Mohammed joined the team in training this morning and negotiations are ongoing,” said the source.

Makwata has been a free agent since parting ways with Zambian outfit Zesco United at the end of last season and sharpened his fitness by playing in the Dennis Oliech Cup sponsored by Mozzart Bet.

Musa who played alongside Makwata for Soka Talent in the tournament also parted ways with Zambian club Lusaka Dynamos who are enduring a financial crisis.

The two will join Police FC on the Bosman rule as the team hopes to challenge for top spots in the league this season.

Police are also said to be interested in the services of former Gor Mahia midfielder Clifton Miheso who parted ways with K'Ogalo before the end of last season.
