Kenya went down 2-1 in Gabon. Next for them is another away game against Seychelles on Monday. The match will be played in the Ivorsy Coast.
Kenya surrendered a first-half lead to lose 2-1 to Gabon in their opening World Cup qualification match played on Thursday evening.
Masoud Juma gave Kenya a first-half lead before the hosts responded through second-half goals scored by Denis Bouanga and Guelor Kanga.
Mozzart Sport takes a look at how Kenyan players performed in the game.

Patrick MatasiGoalkeeper
Overcame an early injury scare to put in an assured performance between the posts. Denied Denis Bouanga in the 13th minute and dealt with long balls and set-pieces well. Was not at fault for both goals.

Amos NondiDefense
Endured a torrid afternoon against Bouanga and the other Gabon attackers who opted to attack through Kenya's right side. Offered little going forward and the game largely showed why he should be taken back to midfield.

Aboud OmarDefense
Was average, offered little going forward, and did not look too assured at the back either. His major contribution was a big clearance towards the end of the game. Coach Engin Firat will be hoping to have his first-choice left-back Eric Ouma back for Monday's clash against Seychelles.

Dennis Ng'ang'aDefense
A late inclusion to the national team and did not look fazed at all. Slotted into the backline seamlessly. He will definitely be considered for future assignments even when the regulars currently injured return.

Johnstone OmurwaDefense
Got an unfamiliar partner in Dennis Ng'ang'a and together kept the Gabon attackers at bay for the better part of the game. His superb block denied Gabon what looked like a goal-bound shot in the 53rd minute. Was unlucky for the error that resulted in Gabon's 61st-minute leveller.

Richard OdadaMidfield
Not one of his good games in a Kenyan shirt. Did not stamp authority in midfield, and looked overwhelmed for the better part of the game.
Rating
4

Anthony AkumuMidfield
Was average in the middle of the park alongside Odada. Defensively he was solid but did not offer much going forward.
Rating
5

Kenneth MugunaMidfield
Was invisible for the better part of the first half. Did little to effect the game before he was hooked off in the 68th minute.

Rooney OnyangoDefense
He was Kenya's main threat going forward and helped out defensively as well. Nearly claimed an assist in the 45th minute only for Michael Olunga's header from his cross to be saved.
Rating
6

Masoud Juma ChokaAttack
Made the most out of a defensive error to give Kenya the lead in he 40th minute. Dropped back as well to help defensively and start Kenya attacks from deep.

Michael OlungaAttack
Looked sharper in the first half compared to his performance in recent games. Was denied a goal by some superb goalkeeping in the 45th minute. Looked lost in the second half.
Rating
4

Duke AbuyaMidfield
Was introduced in the 68th minute for Kenneth Muguna, and had a few bright touches up front but could not help Kenya avoid defeat.
Rating

Daniel SakariDefense
Came on for the final ten minutes. Didn't see much of the ball.
