Perfect match for Chelsea's drought - 'Desert Fox'
Reading Time: 3min | Tue. 20.01.26. | 22:03
According to some renowned sources, the Blues keep a close eye on the Algerian international and Feyenoord winger, Anis Hadj Moussa, whom they see as a potential reinforcement for one of the key areas
After spending almost €340 million in the previous June Transfer Window on ten new players, Chelsea were surprisingly passive during the ongoing transfer period, bringing in no reinforcement.
However, given their manager crisis, Enzo Maresca's departure, and Liam Rosenior's arrival, it's clear their focus wasn't on transfer activity but elsewhere.
Still, such a powerful club as Chelsea is always aware of potential good deals, and their shortlist is constantly full of new targets, the latest one in the spotlight being the Algerian international and Feyenoord winger, Anis Hadj Moussa.

Chelsea, Marseille and SL Benfica are closely monitoring the situation. In addition, agent Makram Naceur is acting as an intermediary in talks with interested clubs from Germany.

According to Sky Sports' journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Blues are keen on strengthening several key areas, including the centre-back and winger positions. And while Rennes' Jeremy Jacquet and Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi are their primary targets for the defensive line, the Dutch side's "Desert Fox" could reinforce the right flank.
Ever since he joined Feyenoord in July 2024 from the Belgian second-flight club Patro Eisden, Hadj Moussa has established himself as one of the team's best players. Last season, he recorded 11 goals and six assists, and already reached the tally of seven goals and three assists in the current campaign.
The 23-year-old was a member of Algeria's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations squad, making four appearances and providing two assists in the continental tournament.
Hadj Moussa's contract with Feyenoord expires in four years, so the Rotterdam side isn't desperate to sell him, but would "succumb" in case of a generous offer.
Plettenberg claims that Chelsea won't rush anything and that a July move for the Algerian is a more likely option, while Olympique Marseille and Benfica are also monitoring his situation, keen on locking horns with the Blues.
