Patient Liverpool book themselves a Champions League spot, traumatizing impeccable Leicester

The Reds win 3-0 at Burnley to reach fourth place on the table ahead of the final showdown

We're not crying for Leicester; you are.

Jokes aside, it seems so undeservedly, but the Foxes will be probably left without the Champions League next season, although Brendan Rodgers' outfit is such a joy to watch all season long. However, Liverpool's last gasp season effort proves enough for the Reds to book their spot in Europe's most prestigious competition.

In the previous round, Brazilian keeper Alisson Becker scored an injury-time winner against WBA, and tonight Liverpool clinched another vital victory, only this time at Turf Moor vs Burnley (3-0). They are now sitting in fourth place on the table, with 66 points, the same as Leicester, but the Enfield Road slot has a better head-to-head result. If they win against Crystal Palace in the last round, Jamie Vardy and co. will have to settle with the Europa League even if they defeat deplorable Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp's boys were patient enough tonight, not rushing to score an early goal despite their need for victory. Steadily building up their game against Sean Dyche's hard-working side, the visitors found their only prominent opportunity to score only two minutes before the half-time whistle. And they nailed it smoothly. Who other than Roberto Firmino, whose finishing skills have never been questionable. Mane's lovely pass exploited Robertson's run on the left flank, and what followed was a fine cross that Firmino confidently put in the back of the net.

The home team tried to bounce back soon after the break, but Mane's engagement was again sufficient to jeopardize Burnley's defensive composure. He did all the work on the left, giving Nathaniel Philips a chance to shine on the far post and kill the game, 2-0.

The rest of the game provided us with a very much balanced display of both teams, with Oxlade-Chemberlain's wonderful stoppage-time solo effort making it 3-0. Klopp's mission - to take his side to another UCL run - is almost accomplished.

Fasten your seatbelt because the last Premier League round is just around the corner.
