The former Kariobangi Sharks custodian is looking to preserve his clean sheet record in cup competitions.
AFC Leopards second choice goalkeeper John Oyemba is plotting to keep a 100 per cent record in between the sticks in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup.
Oyemba has kept two clean sheets in as many matches in the Cup as he was in goal when Leopards humiliated Tiki 6-0 in the opening round and in their 1-0 win over Posta Rangers in the subsequent one.
The former Harambee Stars custodian has been entrusted in the Cup to quench his thirst for playing time as Ugandan national Benjamin Ochan remains the preferred starter in league games.
The former 'Golden Glove' winner believes that the club has what it takes to win the Cup without conceding and return to the continental matches after four years in the cold.
His bid to have a flawless record in the tournament will be put to test when Leopards confront Bungoma Superstars in the Round of 16 this weekend.

Superstars defied odds to dump Ingwe out of the tournament in 2019, a season they also send Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars packing.
"I honestly feel we have the mettle to bag the trophy without letting in a goal. Our defence is no longer leaking thus, my work becomes simpler. I am also yearning to be named the goalkeeper of the tournament," he said.
Leopards last won toasted the trophy in 2017 after downing Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 at the Kasarani Stadium a game in which Oyemba clocked full time while in the latter's colours.
"I was the opposing goalkeeper when Leopards won the Cup in 2017. The delight on the faces of the players and the fans who were at the venue was quite something. I wish, we can repeat the same this season for the sake of our fans and the prestige which comes in playing CAF matches," he added.
