Osasuna profit from Madrid's war with refs and salvage a draw against ten-man champions

Even though Los Blancos slipped in the title race with Barca and Atleti, no one will talk about the draw against Osasuna after what happened today in Pamplona - 1-1

Florentino Perez has recently publicly criticized La Liga referees and their criteria, and the refs "awaited their vengeance!" Not that Juan Martinez Munuera's decisions were wrong, but Real Madrid were never used to receiving red cards and conceding from spot kicks. Both things happened today!

Even though Los Blancos opened the game ideally, scoring the deadlock-breaker already after a quarter of an hour over the unstoppable Kylian Mbappe, things started going south pretty soon. Jude Bellingham was sent off in the 40th minute because he allegedly insulted the referee. If it turns out to be true, the Englishman may face even a 12-game suspension.

However, the last straw was the spot-kick Osasuna were awarded in the 58th minute after Eduardo Camavinga fouled Ante Budimir, who was impeccable from the spot, making it 1-1. The penalty for Atletico in the previous La Liga round was the first against Los Blancos this season. Only a week later, their rivals were given another one.

Not to mention that Madrid's players demanded a penalty on three different occasions but in vain. In the end, Barcelona and Atletico will celebrate, but Perez, Carlo Ancelotti, and everyone else at Santiago Bernabeu will be fuming. In fact, they already are.
