Oruchum bullish ahead of Gor Mahia clash

Tusker FC’s defensive shield Christopher Oruchum is looking to win the 10 remaining Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) games which boosts their chances of retaining the league crown.

The reigning champions lost further ground in the title race as they dropped two points following the 1-1 draw with KCB FC last weekend and face a defining period this month in their title defence.

Speaking ahead of their clash against Gor Mahia, the former Thika United defender noted that they are aiming to win every game and was delighted to have snatched a point in the dying minutes last time out.

“Right now we are focusing on a game at a time, every game is like a final to us. We will put in the necessary effort, we want to win every game possible.

Scoring last week in the final minute is a very important thing because if you look at the games that are remaining the point could become very crucial,” said Oruchum.

The Brewers face former champions Gor Mahia twice before playing against a resurgent AFC Leopards and will close the month with this season’s surprise package FC Talanta.

The former AFC Leopards stopper believes they can still land the title despite trailing log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz by 10 points.

“We still have a very good chance of winning the league, 10 matches are left and you never know anything can happen,” added Oruchum.
