The Bankers trail log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz by six points

Despite a wretched run of form that has seen them pick up a single win in six games, KCB FC assistant coach Godfrey Oduor continues to harbour hopes of landing a maiden title.

The patchy results have seen the Bankers plummet to fourth on the log and could slip further down should Gor Mahia be handed a win in their clash against Vihiga Bullets that was abandoned after crowd troubles.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Oduor reiterated that the club is still firmly in contention for the title race and opened up on their major undoing as a team.

“This is a league we still have 10 matches to come and we are still in the race for the title and we will continue to push to the best of our abilities. We always create chances like in the game against Bandari, Michael (Oduor) got a chance, Sydney (Lokale) also got a chance but they did not score.” Said Oduor.

KCB have failed to find the back of the net in two successive games which have ultimately cost them three points having settled for barren draws against Bandari and Vihiga Bullets.

The Bankers currently trail log leaders Kakamega Homeboys by six points with 16 games left will the end of the season.

Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno’s charges next have a tricky run of fixtures as they face Ulinzi Stars, Gor Mahia, Sofapaka, Tusker and Kakamega Homeboyz.
