Barnsley were on a poor run of form having gone on a seven-game winless run and sat second from bottom in the English Football League (EFL) Championship.
West Brom on the other hand were high flying and needed three points to break into the automatic promotion places that are currently being occupied by Fulham and Bournemouth.
Oduor was introduced in the 84th minute for Aaron Leya but had little time to have any meaningful effect on the game as it ended in a barren draw.
Brain Mandela
The Kenyan international was an unused substitute as his Mamelodi Sundowns side picked up a resounding 4-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the South African Premier Soccer League.
