With only seven matches left before the curtain falls on the campaign, every point now carries enormous significance, setting the stage for what promises to be another thrilling round of action.
At the heart of Saturday’s fixtures will be the clash at Marist University grounds where promotion hopefuls Equity FC travel to face relegation-threatened Darajani Gogo in a match carrying huge implications at both ends of the table.

Equity head into the encounter riding on back-to-back victories, including a hard-fought 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars, and will be seeking a third straight triumph to further strengthen their push for top-flight football.
The Bankers are currently enjoying a remarkable nine-match unbeaten run, having registered seven wins and two draws during that stretch, a run that has firmly thrust them into the promotion conversation.
Coached by John Kamara, the league debutants sit fourth on 60 points, just two behind the promotion places, and know victory could propel them back into the top three with 63 points.
More importantly, maximum points would cut the gap between them and the league leaders to just two points, potentially transforming the title race into a fierce four-way battle.
Confidence within the Equity camp continues to soar, especially considering their recent consistency, which stands in sharp contrast to the struggles facing their opponents.
Darajani Gogo, meanwhile, approach the contest desperate for points as they continue battling to preserve their National Super League status.
The Kibera-based side remain deeply entrenched in the relegation dogfight, with every remaining fixture now carrying survival implications.
Under veteran tactician Ken Kenyatta, Gogo will be targeting nothing short of victory knowing three points would move them to 31 and create a valuable cushion above the relegation line.
With Equity chasing promotion and Gogo fighting for survival, the encounter promises to deliver intensity, pressure and high stakes from start to finish.
Elsewhere, Awendo Green Stadium will host another intriguing fixture as Gucha FC welcome Naivas FC in a match expected to provide fireworks.
Naivas saw their promotion ambitions suffer a major setback after back-to-back defeats in April, but the Retailers have responded strongly with consecutive victories to reignite hopes of a late charge.
Currently eighth on the table with 47 points, Elvis Ayany’s men remain outsiders in the promotion race, sitting 15 points adrift of the top three.
However, another victory this weekend would move them to the 50-point mark and reduce the deficit to 12 points, keeping alive their slim hopes of finally securing promotion after near misses in previous campaigns.
Their hosts Gucha, however, remain equally motivated as they continue their quest to secure safety in their debut season.
The Kisii-based side sit 14th on 34 points, six above the relegation zone, though they are yet to completely pull away from danger with seven matches still left to play.
Gucha head into the match after holding Kibera Black Stars to a barren draw last weekend, a result that halted a run of consecutive defeats.
Despite that, Sammy Okoth’s charges remain winless in seven matches, managing only two draws during that difficult spell, and will be eager to rediscover winning form.
Victory for the newcomers would move them to 37 points and significantly strengthen their survival hopes by opening a sizeable gap from the drop zone.
Having edged Naivas 1-0 in the first leg, Gucha will also be targeting a season double, while the visitors will be keen to avenge that defeat in what shapes up as a fascinating battle.
At Sudi Stadium, regional pride will be on the line when Nzoia Sugar host Luanda Villa FC in a highly anticipated western derby.
Nzoia Sugar, currently tenth with 43 points, will be eager to reassert themselves on home soil after watching their promotion ambitions fade midway through the campaign.
The former FKF Premier League side have built a reputation as one of the league’s strongest home teams and will now be targeting a respectable finish to the season.
Coach Charles Odera’s side head into the derby winless in two matches and will be looking to return to winning ways as they continue their pursuit of a top-five finish.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Odera acknowledged the unpredictable nature of derby matches.
“It’s definitely going to be a tough match because derbies are never determined by form, history or even home advantage. We expect a strong challenge from Luanda Villa just like in the first leg, but we are prepared to fight for a positive result,” he told Mozzart Sport.
The tactician also admitted disappointment over the club’s failure to meet its promotion target this season.
“It has been a disappointing campaign because we had ambitions of returning to where the club belongs. Unfortunately, we have fallen short, but we now have to focus on finishing strongly and preparing better for next season,” he added.
Luanda Villa, on the other hand, travel to Sudi Stadium with renewed confidence after recording back-to-back victories that have boosted their survival bid.
Leonard Swaleh’s side know another win would move them to 38 points and further distance them from the relegation zone.
The first meeting between the two sides ended in a goalless draw, adding further spice to a contest expected to produce another fiercely contested western derby.
In the final fixture of the round, former FKF Premier League side Nairobi City Stars will host bottom-placed Vihiga United in another crucial clash.
City Stars come into the encounter on the back of successive defeats and will be desperate to return to winning ways as they seek a strong finish to what has been a difficult season following their relegation from the top flight.
A win for the Kawangware-based outfit would move them to 40 points and significantly boost their chances of securing a top-half finish.
For Vihiga United, however, the stakes could not be higher.
The Vihiga-based side have endured a miserable campaign and remain rooted at the bottom of the standings after spending much of the season in the relegation zone.
With only seven matches left to salvage their season, every fixture has now become a must-win encounter for the struggling side.
Any further slip-up could all but condemn them to relegation, setting the stage for a tense and potentially decisive battle as the National Super League season edges closer to its climax.
