Nondi clocks 90 in Georgia as Kenyan features against Basel

Amos Nondi's Dila Gori picked up three points with Magnus Breitenmoser featuring against Basel.

Former Gor Mahia midfielder Amos Nondi clocked 90 minutes for Dila Gori in the 1-2 win over Samtredia in the Georgian National League as Magnus Breitenmoser featured for Thun in the 3-2 win over Swiss giants Basel.

Nondi was handed his second consecutive start by Dila Gori after receiving his marching orders against Saburtalo as he inspired them to a 1-2 win over Samtredia.

Tornike Kapanadze opened the scoring for Dila in the 50th minute after a first half that saw chances few and far between the two sides.

Before the dust could settle on Dila’s lead they doubled their advantage through Usmane Kamara who converted a penalty to hand his side a healthy lead.

With six minutes left on the clock, Giorgi Lomtadze halved Dila lead to set up a tense finale but Gori held on for the win to secure three vital points.

Kenyan midfielder Magnus Breitenmoser came on as a second-half substitute for FC Thun in the 2-3 win over Basel in a club-friendly.

It only took 12 minutes for Thun to break the deadlock with Gabriel Kyeremateng getting his name on the scoresheet.

Basel suffered a whirlwind opening 20 minutes of the game as they shipped in the second a minute later courtesy of Daniel Dos Santos.

It was raining goals in the clash as Edon Zhegrova pulled one back for Basel in the 16th minute but Uros Vasic restored Thun’s two-goal cushion.

Mamadou Kaly Sene scored in the 29th minute but the goals dried up in the clash as the game ended 2-3 with Magnus introduced at the start of the second half.
