The two took turns to steer the Sofapaka ship from the touchline. Odhiambo would bark instructions for a couple of minutes, then take a rest and leave it to Ouma. And Ouma would do the exact thing, and the cycle went on the whole game.
"We are working very well with him. If you noticed today, I would stand up to give instructions then pass the baton to him after some time. He would also do the same. We are working towards a common goal," Odhiambo said after the game.
He was appointed in the capacity of a sporting director and assistant coach at the same time to replace Frank Okoth in the sporting director role and Mike Mururi in the assistant coach role.

Ouma is not new to Sofapaka as he served at the club in the capacity of a head coach between 2012 and 2014.
The club President Elly Kalekwa echoed these sentiments during the unveiling of Ouma, saying that Ouma was back home.
"Ouma is back home. I knew he would one day come back where his heart really is. He spent five good years with us in different capacities and during those years, he showed great passion in his work and that is why when he had the chance to work with him again, we didn't think twice," Kalekwa said.
Ouma left his position as the Harambee Starlets coach in April and was replaced by then Tusker FC's assistant coach Charles Okere.
