No discount to Real: Bale won't take a pay cut

Welshman is expecting that Madrid will honor his contract and pay him 30 million euros next season

Real fans will say that he is greedy, neutrals will answer: you wanted the best players in the world - now you pay him. And no expense in Madrid is as painful as that for Gareth Bale's salary. Because while all the Spanish clubs are pressuring the players to agree to a salary reduction, the Welsh stubbornly repeats: I will not give you a cent!

According to the Mirror, Bale is ready to make it easier for Real by accepting another loan in the last year of his contract - it will hardly be Tottenham, although it is never known - he insists that his full salary be paid.

More precisely, 692,660 euros per week, if we calculate the gross cost of Real, including taxes and contributions. Or to be clearer: more than 30,000,000 euros for the last year of the contract. This season, Real and Tottenham are paying half, Spurs also have the option to buy him, but it has long been written that Bale did not convince them to do so with his nonchalant approach at the beginning of the return episode in London. Until the beginning of February, he played a modest 229 minutes in the Premier League.

True, he had an assist against West Ham, and another one, along with two goals in the victory over Burnley, in Bale's first start in the Premier League since 2013. Even Jose Mourinho - who had previously publicly reprimanded him for posting photos on social media with slogans such as "good training", while he wasn’t ready to play - changed the record.

"There is no coach in the world who would not put him in the team when he is ready. He looks better now than ever, not just because of these goals. His change, speed, the rhythm of the game… We need one like that", said Mourinho after the Burnley match.

However, It’s not enough for Tottenham to commit to so much financial expense. At least for now.
