The teenage goalkeeper, who plies his trade with the U21 side of ADO Den Haag U21, is expected to bolster the goalkeeping department.
Harambee Stars goalkeeper Caleb Kremer has opened up about the qualities he believes he brings to the Kenyan national team.
Kremer is among the players handed their maiden national team call-ups by coach Benni McCarthy ahead of the back-to-back international friendlies against Lesotho.
The teenage goalkeeper, who plies his trade with the U21 side of ADO Den Haag U21, is expected to bolster the goalkeeping department.
Speaking after his first training session with the national team, Kremer explained what makes him stand out as a goalkeeper.
“I am a very explosive and lanky goalkeeper. In Europe, it is very important to be good with your feet, so I am comfortable playing short passes. My biggest strengths are my reflexes,” said Kremer.
With Kenya set to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside neighbours Uganda and Tanzania, the 19-year-old is determined to impress and earn a place in what would be a historic squad.
“I am here to showcase myself in a good way, show what I can do, help the team and hopefully earn more call-ups and a place at AFCON,” he added.
The youngster also expressed his gratitude after earning recognition from McCarthy.
“I am very proud to be here. It is a dream come true for me to represent my home country, and that is why I am here,” he remarked.
Kremer will compete for the number one spot with Brian Bwire, Byrne Omondi, and Faruk Shikhalo.
