Players attached to Disi Football Club had a reason to smile after leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet delivered new uniforms and footballs.
Through the company’s initiative dubbed New Jerseys for New Champions, the team received a full set of 23 kits along with two footballs.

Captain Elvis Otieno, who led his teammates in receiving and trying out the new kits, termed the donation timely for a team that relies on public goodwill to honour fixtures in the Kisumu County League.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates and the Hesborn Oluoch-led technical bench, Otieno said the sporting equipment had eased their worries and relieved them of the strain of raising funds to purchase new gear ahead of the competition, which kicks off in January.
The midfielder revealed that the players and members of the technical bench were shouldering the day-to-day costs of running the club, including the purchase of sporting equipment, which he observed was taking a toll on them.
“We are grateful to Mozzart Bet for kitting us. This support will ease the burden of purchasing new kits ahead of the new season and motivate the players to work even harder as we aim to secure promotion to the next tier. We normally contribute amongst ourselves, with the community also helping us honour fixtures and run the club,” said the skipper.
Meanwhile, Otieno expressed optimism that the club will secure promotion to the Regional League in the new campaign.

“In the meantime, we have registered for a series of tournaments that will double as pre-season preparation. We have drawn lessons from last season’s run and are working hard to improve the areas where we fell short. We hope to proceed to the Regional League next year,” he added.
