Turkish clubs are spending big this transfer window, and it seems the spending spree is far from over

Fenerbahce has big ambitions — and Jose Mourinho is aiming high, with Real Madrid firmly in his crosshairs.

The Portuguese tactician, who led Los Blancos between 2010 and 2013, is reportedly looking to tap into his connections in the Spanish capital to lure top-tier talent to Istanbul. As reported by AS, Mourinho has set his sights on Rodrygo, the Brazilian forward generating serious Premier League interest from clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool.

While a move to Turkey seems improbable given his Champions League pedigree, Fenerbahce is still entertaining the dream — and they’ve got the financial muscle to make a serious bid.

If Rodrygo proves out of reach, Mourinho isn’t short on alternatives. David Alaba and Brahim Diaz are also on his radar. A deal for Alaba seems far-fetched, especially with Fenerbahce already reinforcing their defense. Diaz, however, is viewed as a potential game-changer — though optimism there is fading too, as he's reportedly close to extending his stay at the Bernabeu.

Fenerbahce has already made waves in the transfer market with the arrivals of Jhon Duran, Nelson Semedo, and Milan Skriniar. Whether a marquee signing from Madrid joins that list remains uncertain. One thing is clear: Mourinho is aiming to shake things up — but prying stars away from Real won’t be easy.
