Metal-less Eden could even make it to the UCL final

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez explains Hazard had removed a metal plate from his ankle and is doing his best to be ready for the Liverpool tie

Only five appearances in the Real Madrid shirt since the beginning of February prove how awful this season is for once-mercurial attacking midfielder Eden Hazard. After glorious seven years at Stamford Bridge, the Belgium playmaker has made only 48 appearances for Los Blancos in the last three years (!?).

Tons of injuries have benched him heavily, and he is nowhere near his previous levels.

However, according to his Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez, we could see a whole different Hazard as soon as in the Champions League finals. The experienced tactician explained what's the reason for sudden optimism.

"The metal plate in his ankle was a worry for Eden. Sometimes you have to listen to your body. Now he feels free again. He has no reaction to his ankle anymore. He has two weeks to be ready and maybe play a part in the Champions League final."

Hazard scoring a crucial goal in the Paris showdown? Well, that's what dreams, and some Hollywood-like blockbusters are made of.
