Former Barcelona vice-president revealed some interesting information

In 2019, an small ‘earthquake‘ happened withing the organizational structure of Barcelona. Vice-president Jordi Mestre has resigned from his position on the Blaugrana's board. Mestre left his post due to disagreements with the Board of Directors, which was headed by the infamous president Josep Maria Bartomeu, particularly with regard to the club's direction moving forward in a sporting sense. He was regarded very high within the club and his move was noticeable. Now after a few years, he decided to reveal some stories, like for example how Neymar left the club. But first thing's first. He revealed that Lionel Messi's family is angry with the current president Joan Laporta.

"Everything we do for Leo Messi will be too little. What he's given us... I don't know if it will be unrepeatable, because life is very long, but it's impressive, and not just on a sporting level. Financially, the tours with him were one thing and without him, another. He earned a good salary, but he made the club a lot of money. There were players who came because they wanted to be by Messi 's side. World-class stars. And this happened overnight... I know from third parties that Leo Messi and his family are very, very, very angry with Laporta . A lot" he explained in an interview with Sports360.

Mestre also thinks that only a tribute match for Messi would be too little, considering his influence in the club.

"I don't know what the club is thinking, but it's not enough. I would do something historic for him. For example, name the stands for Leo Messi, so that his name would be passed down from generation to generation" he said.

Jordi Mestre was also famous for saying that Neymar will ‘200%‘ stay in Barcelona and in just a few days he went to PSG. He now explained what actually happened.

"I feel really bad that Neymar didn't work out because he was an extraordinary player. He should have been Leo Messi's successor. He told me he wanted him back. And I understand, because he was doing very well. In one-on-one situations, if Leo had to do everything, it was one thing, but if Leo and Neymar did it, it was a different story. At the time, not even the players knew he was leaving. I spoke to a very important player in the team, and he told me they'd gone to Leo Messi's wedding and that he was at the table with Neymar, and he never told them he was leaving. That's why I said I was 200 percent sure. Later, over time, I've put the pieces together and figured out how his departure worked out, with Pini Zahavi involved“ he revealed.
