Shitu says his team has to win its next league match against Sofapaka
Nairobi City Stars defender Salim ‘Shitu’ Abdalla says his team has to get a win in their next FKF Premier League assignment against Sofapaka scheduled for Monday 24th May at Kasarani.
The Kawangware-based club is currently 12th in the log with 17 points after 16 rounds of league matches. On Sunday, they went down 1-0 to Gor Mahia courtesy of a first-half goal from Burkinabe midfielder Abdul Karim.

Their next league outing will be against Batoto ba Mungu who downed Wazito on Sunday and take on Gor Mahia on Thursday before facing Stars on Monday.
Speaking ahead of Monday’s league assignment against Batoto ba Mungu, Shitu labeled the match a must-win one.
“We have to win our next game, we have to prepare well and give our best to get maximum points. We know that there are no easy games in KPL but we just have to do all we can to win, we have to move up in the table,” he told Mozzart Sport.
Reflecting on the defeat to Gor Mahia, the former Ligi Ndogo, Posta Rangers and AFC Leopards man said his team got punished for throwing away opportunities. He believes that they created better chances than the record champions did.
“We had our moments and chances but we did not make good use of them and in football, you get punished if you do not utilize your opportunities. Gor Mahia did not outplay us, the game was balanced even when we were a man down and I think we had the best opportunities of the game,” he concluded.
