Mchulla makes Modern Coast Rangers return three weeks after leaving

Modern Coast Rangers are among the handful of teams battling relegation

Modern Coast Rangers fans can afford a sigh of relief after coach Muhamed Ahmed Mchulla confirmed that he will return to the club in the course of the week.

The soft-spoken gaffer caught many by surprise after ditching the struggling National Super League three weeks ago for neighbors and competitors Coast Stima.

The tactician who was among the scores who completed their Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) level C coaching badge last week confirmed that his intended switch to Stima did not see the light of the day despite training them for almost three weeks.

The former Wazito boss revealed that after the Stima deal hit a snag, Modern Coast Rangers honchos convinced him to return to the team and help beat relegation to the Division One.

Rangers are placed third from bottom with 23 points, three adrift of safety.

I will rejoin the team possibly before the end of the week. I had left the club three weeks ago for Stima but Coast Rangers management convinced me to return and help the team escape the wrath of relegation. My move to Stima did not materialize after we failed to agree on some confidential issues,” he said.

Mchulla’s looming return was corroborated the club’s team manager Ferdinard Ogot who said that the youthful trainer will pick from where he left before the week ends.

He has agreed to come back and assist the team maintain its slot in the league. He understands the team well and had a good working relationship with the management,” he said.
