Mbappe's double breaks all the suspense against bottom side Angers

Table-toppers against the bottom side with as many as 61 points separating them. With such a prelude, it couldn't end in anything but a routine 2-1 away victory for Paris-Saint Germain against Angers.

The man who deserves the most credit for this victory is PSG's star Kylian Mbappe, whose brace wrapped up the game well before the half time.

The charming minnows' lock was opened within the first ten minutes as Lionel Messi kickstarted a perfect three-piece action, with Bernat putting Mbappe in a perfect position to put his team in front after two successive attempts.

The same man doubled the lead and killed the game some 15 minutes later, only this time Messi and Mbappe established a direct connection for fast and deadly execution. The latter dashed into the box, going past the keeper before finding the back of the net for 2-0.

The rest of the match was pretty much a lullaby song, at least until the minute 87, when Sada Thioub made the most of the opportunity he found himself in after a lousy man-marking in the heart of Donnarumma's box.
