PSG will do their best to capture the Manchester City star

When Kylian Mbappe wants something, Kylian Mbappe gets it. That's how Paris Saint-Germain is operating these days. And Kylian Mbappe wants Bernardo Silva.

The French attacker would love to play alongside the Portuguese and has sent a positive review to the Parisians' football advisor Luis Campos, another fan of the Portuguese playmaker. Two of the most influential people at Parc des Princes want Bernardo - but will it be enough to ensure the high-profile move?

Bernardo, the former Monaco player, was on the verge of a PSG move six months ago, but the move didn't happen. Campos, who brought Bernardo to Ligue 1 while he was in charge of transfers at Monaco, believes the Portuguese is just what the Paris team needs now.

The Portuguese star had been lined up as a replacement for Frenkie de Jong, who was the subject of a transfer saga last year, but he remained in Manchester for a sixth season.

Silva and Mbappe combined for six goals in 44 games over two seasons in the Principality, including once against City in the Champions League in Monaco's surprise semi-final run in 2016/17. And we know very well that winning the Champions League remains the ulitmate goal for PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

And the presence of two faces from Silva's past is thought to be a bonus to the Saints. French outlet Le10Sport claims that Silva aspires to take up a new challenge, having won 11 trophies in a hugely successful stay at the Etihad.

Last year, he indicated that his future is wide open.

"I've always said that I'm happy here in Manchester, but I have no idea what's going to happen. We'll see, honestly. My relationship with the club is very honest. I've been open with them, and they know what I want."
