Son of Arsenal owner attended the fan's forum
Kroenke won’t sell but, but Er won’t go away either. That’s the current situation with the possible Arsenal takeover. But both parties are trying to get to the supporters, just for different reasons: the current owners because they have to, the possible buyers because they want to.
Arsenal fans have already protested against the Kroenke family, led by father Stan, when the Super League fiasco happened, but that was just the excuse for coming out to the streets. The real reason was Arsenal’s total mediocrity in the last couple of seasons. From being a regular top three Premier League club, with a constant title ambitions, the Gunners are now only happy to get to the Champions League, and this season, they have failed to secure even the Europa League. And the owners are not doing anything about it, they even agreed to join the Super League without consulting the fans.
So, Stan Kroenke’s son Josh decided it was time to get closer to the fans, and to mitigate the fans fury, since they already announced another protest, this time inside the stadium, at the Arsenal’s home game against Brigton. According to football.london, Josh Kroenke was in attendance at the Arsenal fan's forum which took place on Friday afternoon. The American businessman committed to attend at least one of the forums per year as part of his attempt to win back the support of fans. Of course, that is just a minor step which will not prevent fan’s protest, but at least Kroenke realized that he must communicate with the fans, at least in some minimum way.

The other interested party, led by Swedish millionaire Daniel Ek, and promoted by club’s legends Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp, already contracteed the fan base, even their initial bid to buy the club was unsucessfull.
„We know how the fans feel. We have already had a meeting with a supporter delegation. We also sense more and more enthusiasm on their side. That is very stimulating. We can’t force anyone to sell. I understand that, in addition to that offer, Daniel has now reached out twice to Josh Kroenke and his bankers. Whatever Kroenke’s intentions are, it would be good if we at least have a conversation with each other. In the interest of the club. Regardless, Daniel is not a quitter and neither are we football boys. We are here to stay. The crazy thing is that we cannot imagine how the current players feel. Because we have always played for the championship ourselves“ Bergkamp told an interview with Dutch media outlet VI.
Bergkamp played for Arsenal for 11 years and scored 120 goals for the North London club. He know the club from inside-out and knows what is missing.
„The ambition to win top prizes is in Arsenal’s DNA. Never accepting to lose. That mentality has slowly disappeared. I sense resignation about the current situation. That is serious. As if, given the financial situation, it is normal for Arsenal to end mid-table. That does not belong to this club. Arsenal’s DNA must be restored“ said Bergkamp.
