Enzugusi has been without a club since January after being dropped by Nashville FC.

Kenyan midfielder Leroy Enzugusi impressed while on trial with Forward Madison FC who ply their trade in the United Soccer League (USL) League One side which is the third tier.

The winger was on hand to score at the stroke of the hour mark in the 6-0 rout of National Premier Soccer League side Minneapolis City SC in a friendly clash.

With the clash being a miss-match between a third-tier side and a sixth tier outfit, Madison finally broke Minneapolis resistance in the 43rd minute through Christian Enriquez.

Minneapolis conceded a quickfire second goal a minute later through Ryan Sierakowski as Madison went into the halftime break leading 2-0. Madison continued from where they left from in the first half as Jesús Chino Pérez netted two minutes after the resumption of the second half.

The game ceased to be a contest when Minneapolis shipped in the fourth goal in the 50th minute through Tyler Allen who has been instrumental for the Madison backline.

Enzugusi who came on as a substitute gave the Madison management something to ponder after scoring in the 60th minute to cap off of his impressive trial period with the club.

The winger has been without a club since being dropped by Nashville FC back in January after being picked in the 2021 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft in the same month.

Before joining, Nashville FC Enzugusi had a standout career at Drake University. In three seasons, he scored 21 goals including back-to-back eight-goal seasons.

In total Enzugusi appeared in 52 matches and earned All-MVC First Team in both of his final seasons.
