Juventus can't get rid of 40 million euros dead wood

Thiago Motta doesn't count on them but the club cannot sell them
Wojciech Szczesny, Weston McKennie, Federico Chiesa, Filip Kostić, and Arkadiusz Milik collectively cost Juventus around €40 million gross per season. At the end of the previous season, all five expressed their desire to leave the club and informed the Juventus management that they had several offers to continue their careers elsewhere. As of August 5th, none of these players are close to transferring to another club. The problem is that Juventus manager Thiago Motta does not count on them. Some have been told this explicitly, while others have been informed indirectly.

Juventus finds itself in an uncomfortable position, as it is a publicly traded club and must operate transparently. At the same time, it does not make sense for players earning millions in net salary (Szczesny 6.5 million, Chiesa 5 million, Milik 3.5 million, Kostić and McKennie 2.5 million each) to sit in the stands for an entire year.
Currently, Szczesny is in Poland working individually, while the other four players are practically on the sidelines at Continassa. The club is diligently searching for players of their profile because there is no trust in them. Di Gregorio is already at Juventus, the club is frantically looking for a winger and an offensive-minded midfielder, and they are not giving up on Koopmeiners. The only one of the mentioned five players who might stay and be useful to Motta is Milik as a backup for Vlahović in the absence of a better solution. It is no coincidence that there is talk of Juve possibly approaching Napoli for Raspadori and offering Chiesa in return.

Chiesa is being linked not only to Naples but also to Milan, specifically to Appiano Gentile as part of a swap deal with Frattesi. Meanwhile, Inter has been quick to deny such a hypothetical possibility. There is even talk of Lazio, although that scenario is less likely due to the salary Chiesa demands (the Italian international is not satisfied with the current 5 million and wants 6 million).
