The Turin giant is looking at other options on the market
The arrival of a right winger is Juventus’ absolute priority in the current transfer window. For Spalletti’s formation with one striker and two wide forwards, a reinforcement is necessary because Weston McKennie and Francisco Conceicao have so far failed to convince Spalletti that they are the right solution. He needs someone on the right flank as a balance to Yildiz on the left, and the choice has fallen on Federico Chiesa. Although they did not part on good terms, Juve and Chiesa have smoothed things over, and the Italian attacker has expressed his desire to return. He has even agreed to a lower salary than the six million euros he currently earns at Liverpool. However, the problem is that the Reds did not want to let him go while Mohamed Salah is at the Africa Cup of Nations, and they also refuse Juventus’ proposal of a loan deal. The Old Lady offered that the buy option would become mandatory under certain conditions if Chiesa plays and Juventus achieve certain objectives, but Liverpool only want a permanent sale.

Juventus currently does not have the money for such an investment and is slowly turning to alternatives. One of them is Daniel Maldini from Atalanta, whom the Bergamo club would also be willing to let go on loan with an option to buy. Another advantage is that he does not have a high salary, as he earns only about one million euros per season at Atalanta—very affordable for Juve. The remaining options are Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, who wants to leave Saudi side Al Shabab, and Jerémie Boga from Nice. The Belgian still has a year and a half left on his contract at Al Shabab, is the captain, is playing well, and earns 13 million net per season. But he has had enough of Arabia and wants to return to Europe. He would even accept a drastic pay cut if Juventus were to call.
As for Boga, he recently asked for his contract with Nice to be terminated after an attack by dissatisfied ultras on the team bus, and he could be given a free hand in choosing his next club. Juventus is hoping for that outcome, as it does not want to pay a transfer fee for a winger who previously played in Italy for Sassuolo and Atalanta. All of the mentioned names are currently seen as temporary solutions until June, because Juve has a big plan to sign Bernardo Silva then, when his contract with Manchester City expires.
